We are looking for….
As a subsidiary of the international "Hubert Burda Media" group, we are in charge of the international publishing of a portfolio of magazines specialising in craft and DIY, especially sewing. Our titles include the group's flagship magazine burda style or fashion style. As part of its international web development, our company also manages, pilots and animates e-commerce sites and communities (social media / networks) related to our fashion and DIY magazines, a field that is on the rise.
For several of our titles, we are looking for
• Translator/ rice Dutch (NL) into Swedish (SE)
• Translator German (DE) into Swedish (SE)
• Translator Dutch (NL) into Danish (DK)
• Translator German(DE ) into Danish (DE)
with extensive sewing knowledge
What awaits you :
• Regular translation assignment for a monthly magazine much appreciated by sewing enthusiasts. More concretely, your mission will be to translate the illustrated pages of the magazine (easy level) and the sewing supplement containing the detailled instructions for each model (advanced level). The sewing supplement requires requests for in-depth knowledge in sewing and a high quality of translation since it helps readers and subscribers to sew the models presented in the magazine. You will contribute significantly to the content of the magazine and work under the coordination of the editor in charge of the title.
• Possibility of collaborating on other projects (special issues, web or other).
• A fixed fee upon publication (to be defined according to profile)
What we expect :
• A very good level in sewing and a strong interest in fashion design.
• Proficiency in two languages, ideally the target language is your mother tongue
• Ease with InDesign (or willingness to become familiar with it)
• Reliability, precision and availability to ensure the good running of our production process.
